Join us for The Menopause Edition featuring Sohini Sinha, Founder of Menopausitiva. “Menopause is a rite of passage,” Sohini shares while leading communities of women through collaborative conversation around the menopause journey. “We have the opportunity to approach it with as much grace and ease as we can during a time when our bodies, minds, emotions, and spirit are transforming.” Sohini will facilitate conversations, creative introspections, and movement throughout our time in Costa Rica. Day 1 - Press Pause, Unplug, & Give Thanks

Fly into San José’s Juan Santamaria Airport and take a short transfer by private luxury van to a mountain lodge, the first tranquil location on your Costa Rican rejuvenation. Rest time and dinner together will ensure that you settle into tranquility. Overnight in Alajuela. D

Day 2 - Hit the Outdoors & Breathe Easy

Rise early and experience the magnificence of a volcano crater with its blue lakes and hot geysers. Continue down the road to a nature park filled with exotic sanctuary animals and hike to spectacular waterfalls. Relax in a comfortable luxury van as you head to La Fortuna for a relaxing evening in one of the many hot springs. Overnight in La Fortuna. B, L, D

Day 3 - Rest in Your Environment

A trip to the tropical rainforest will have you observing all types of wildlife and vegetation and hopefully catch a glimpse of the wondrous Arenal volcano. Enjoy an afternoon exploring the local town and cuisine before heading back to the resort for a restful evening. Overnight in La Fortuna. B, L, D

Day 4 - Immerse Yourself & Make a Difference

Start your morning with a sunrise salutation and the opportunity to give back to the community. Afterwards, depart for El Rincón de la Vieja volcano area, with a scenic stop for lunch at a lakeside café. Upon arrival at the resort, free time awaits you to explore the mud baths, scenic trails, and pool. Overnight at Borinquen. B, L, D

Day 5 - Reach for the Top & Pamper Yourself

Start your day with a horseback ride through the mountains to a glorious waterfall, and zipline through the canopy. Then make your way to the spa for a relaxing massage. The afternoon is free to rejuvenate, followed by dinner at the resort restaurant. Overnight at Borinquen. B, L, D

Day 6 - Reassess & Refocus

Time to say “adios” to Costa Rica. Group transfer is provided to Liberia Airport (LIR). B

Wrap Up Your Journey at the Coast

Enjoy the warm sun and blue Pacific waves with a trip to the Costa Rican coast.

An additional 2-day extension has been arranged for the per person cost of $1,275. The extension includes 2 nights at an all-inclusive resort, transportation to the resort, and transportation to Liberia airport only 20 minutes from the resort. Any additional excursions, rentals, gratuities and incidentals will be at your own expense.

When I arrive to Costa Rica, where will I meet up with eS Travel?

eS Travel will be in constant communication with you after you land and pass through Immigration on the scheduled arrival day. A representative will be there to greet you.

How many people will be traveling with me?

eS Travel wants to get to know you! Therefore we specialize in small groups of no more than 12 on the Woman's Journey. Bring your women family and friends!

Do I have to attend all events on the itinerary?

eS Travel specializes in creating unique and memorable experiences; however, you may wish to opt out of any events at any time. But we don't think you'll want to!

I have a very strict diet. Will I be accommodated?

eS Travel works closely with restaurants to ensure you have the best culinary experience on your tour. We will do our best to accommodate your dietary needs.

How long will we be in a vehicle traveling from one destination to the next?

eS Travel wants to show you the country by plane, train and vehicle thus requiring travel; however, we aim to maximize your time with experiences and minimize long sitting and waiting periods.

I'm limited in my mobility. Are there steep hills or long walks that I will encounter?

eS Travel creates experiences that involve walking distances that at times include steep hills; however, we will make sure that you're experience is not compromised.

Is a passport and/or visa required to enter Costa Rica?

eS Travel recommends that you confirm your passport is valid. The US government will not allow you to travel if your passport only has six months until expiration. A visa is not required
